A community organisation registered and operates in Mathare, an informal settlement in Ruaraka sub county of Nairobi we depend on the Peter Bachnann Foundation for all our activities in Kenya.
PBF Foundation has contributed to the health sector by providing individual medical cost coverage, community-based health insurance support, and health institution establishment like Gashena Emanuel clinic. PBF Foundation has made a significant impact on improving access to healthcare in Ethiopia.
PBF Memorial Clinic has opened for the service and is now fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology to provide top-notch care for patients undergoing cataract treatment. The clinic has also invited a team of experienced ophthalmologists and support staff to ensure a smooth and successful campaign.
PBF Foundation has provided so many projects in Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Sri Lanka, and other developing countries. This initiative was documented and published on the PBF website. But it’s challenging to add videos and other large content to the website. For more visibility of the project details and to reach a wider audience, PBF decided to create a YouTube channel. This platform allows for easier sharing of videos and updates on their impactful work across various countries.
I am honored to share a significant milestone in our journey toward inclusive education. Action of Love International has successfully enrolled its first cohort of students with disabilities into secondary education. This achievement marks a new chapter in our commitment to providing quality learning opportunities and vocational skills for children who have historically faced barriers to education.
Every little donation matters! PBF accepts both cash and in-kind donation for our beneficiaries in Africa. With this support we have built classrooms, done boreholes provided food and medical support and supplies for the populations who are in real need. The donated material are very practical and optical evidence of our work among the poor of the poor.
January 7th is the Christmas celebrations day among the Ethiopian Orthodox Church. People come from far and wide to Lalibela, the iconic Holy City in the North Wolo region of Ethiopia for Pilgrimage. They come for spiritual nourishment and healing. Our Dear Dr Peter Bachmann came to Lalibela like any other Pilgrim 20 years ago for this Genna.
PBF has multiple social services, and the golden Tasks have been serving everyone who needs help in Africa for the last 2 decades. Eagerly awaited, the largest PBF Health institution in Africa was inaugurated on January 7, 2025, in a holy city of Lalibela.
As we celebrate this important anniversary, the Foundation faces new challenges in an ever-changing world. The Foundation’s goal remains to continue to bring about positive change through the power of community.
Following fourteen months of diligent effort, teamwork, and dedication, the clinic’s construction was successfully completed. The clinic is well-positioned to offer the community first-rate healthcare services because of its solid foundation.
