REPORT ON COVID 19 SUPPORT FROM PBF
One World Network has been observing strictly the safety measures that have been set to counter Novel COVID 19 epidemic that has shocked and made the world to adjust to a new life.
On April 8th Peter Bachmann Family supported us with funds to help address the challenges and success made in relation to COVID 19 specific in mathare slums. With the support from PBF, here are the items we bought below.
- Clean Water
We organized a Safe water supply to protect the community in mathare who cannot access clean water during this covid 19 virus. Our beneficiaries in mathare that is boys and girls in sports activities will now get clean water. We paid for a clean water tank lorry to provide water at least twice a week.
- Masks
We bought 300 surgical face masks for the people in mathare who are supported by PBF through One World Network. The reason for having the face masks is to prevent persons with flu or coughing conditions that may relate to covid 19 and it’s recommended by the government.
- Hand Sanitizers and Soap
We bought 300 hand sanitizers and soap for the boys and girls living in mathare, Frequent and proper hand hygiene is one of the most important measures that can be used to prevent infection with the COVID-19 virus.
On 20th April 2020 we plan to do an online civic education on the PBF beneficiaries in Bondo town, one of the students there will be taken through civic education on covid 19 prevention and he will share with others on the ground.
