The VDI center has collected many elderly homeless people at one place in Addis Ababa. More than 80 people come to the VDI every day at lunch to get a very simple meal to stay alive. Some also find permanent shelter at the VDI. All of them are very weak, vulnerable to diseases, without any security, and exposed to all the risks on the street.

Lalibela is known for its famous rock-hewn churches, attracting tourists from around the world. This makes people around Lalibela restricted to tourism-related business for survival, leading to concerns about overreliance on tourism and the need for diversification of the local economy. The local economy was impacted, and tourism was down during a period of conflict and the COVID-19 pandemic.
PBF Memorial Clinic has become the most important healthcare provider in the community, offering a wide range of services, including preventive care, diagnostics, and treatment. The clinic’s dedication to improving the health of its patients has resulted in a significant increase in patient satisfaction and overall health outcomes.
On 6th Nov 2025, Action of Love International (AoLI) conducted an emergency relief distribution exercise to support families severely affected by the ongoing floods in rural communities of Teso. The intervention was made possible through the generous funding and partnership of the PBF. This humanitarian response aimed to restore hope and dignity to flood-affected families who have lost their homes, property, and livelihoods. Many of these families are currently living in makeshift shelters and struggling to meet their daily needs.
In Soroti and the Teso subregion of eastern Uganda has been struck by severe and continuous flooding following heavy rains. The floods have caused widespread destruction across multiple villages, washing away homes, crops, and livestock, and leaving hundreds of families without shelter or basic necessities.
The assessment was done as a reflection of the Clinic’s operation and performance by our clients and beneficiaries of our services since our opening on (January 7th 2025) . The aim is review the feedback objectively for an improved performance and service delivery going forward.The summary of the survey was presented as follow.

It has been more than six months since the PBF memorial clinic fully started health care service. The clinic has done a lot to help people by offering free eye treatment in addition to basic health care. The people of Lalibela and the surroundings have greatly benefited from the clinic’s services, with many individuals experiencing improved vision and overall health. The success of the eye treatment campaign has inspired the clinic to expand its services and reach even more people in need of medical care.
