PBF Memorial Clinic 6-month health service progress
PBF Memorial Clinic has become the most important healthcare provider in the community, offering a wide range of services, including preventive care, diagnostics, and treatment. The clinic’s dedication to improving the health of its patients has resulted in a significant increase in patient satisfaction and overall health outcomes.
Since the beginning of PBF Clinic services, the number of clients has been increasing, and the service delivery is improving rapidly. The main reasons for the increase in the number of patients are that the costs of medicines, laboratory, and other services are affordable, and PBF Clinic eliminated the long-distance referrals that previously required the public to undergo various laboratory tests and provided quality healthcare.
In the last six months the clinic has implemented the following initiatives to further improve patient satisfaction and health outcomes.
- Completely eliminating laboratory test referrals
- Completely address the problem of drug supply in Lalibela.
- Conducted continuous service satisfaction surveys and implemented prompt responses to service quality feedback.
- Provided free mass cataract surgery service every 3 months
- Prevent professional migration, use the local health professional for various services in the clinic, and pay for the services.

Apart from providing basic healthcare services, the clinic was able to successfully conduct three consecutive campaigns for eye treatment. The campaign marks an important step towards improving eye-related problems like cataracts, trachoma, pterygium, and other eye diseases for Lalibela and surrounding districts.

The community has delivered positive feedback and suggestions for the clinic’s sustainability.
They have also expressed gratitude for the clinic’s efforts in providing specialized services such as eye treatment, which were previously unavailable in the area. The clinic’s commitment to regular campaigns and utilizing local health professionals has greatly benefited the community. Client feedback is always sent to the clinic.
