SEPTEMBER 2025: KENYA/ MATHARE: REPORT ON SANITARY PADS DISTRIBUTION IN HURUMA/MATHARE ESTATE ON SEPTEMBER 20TH, 2025.

Today, we visited Huruma estate, Nairobi, to issue sanitary pads to both school-going girls and young mothers. The need in this community is immense, as many women and girls are unable to afford sanitary pads. Some are forced to use torn clothes, which is unhygienic and exposes them to health risks, as well as shame and missed opportunities such as attending school.

The distribution exercise was received with overwhelming gratitude. The beneficiaries expressed deep appreciation for this support, noting that access to sanitary pads will restore their dignity, improve their health, and allow young girls to attend school consistently without interruption during their monthly cycles.

We are especially thankful to PBF/OWN for making this dream a reality. Your generosity is helping restore dignity and hope to vulnerable girls and young mothers in Huruma. This act of kindness is not just about meeting a physical need, but also about uplifting lives and giving women and girls the confidence to pursue their dreams.
