PBF helps an elderly person whose house burned down

A woman lost her house through fire! This lady is a 76-year-old widow. She lives alone under the mercy of well-wishers, having lost 8 of her children to various diseases. Last month, she accidentally set her own house ablaze. The whole house burnt, and thankfully the neighbors managed to rescue her. She slept in the cold for weeks, and the community mobilized to build for her a house. They only lacked roofing timber and iron sheets.

We made an appeal to PBF for support, and thankfully dear Peter responded promptly and sent us the money for roofing. The house is built now, and the neighbors are helping her to do the finishing’s. We at PBF Kenya are very thankful for the donation, and we continue to do community visits to identify deserving cases within the PBF target group.
