PBF received a certificate of honor for its support of community-based health insurance

For the past four consecutive years, PBF has largely targeted the sick, the elderly, people with disabilities, women house heads and children who lack access to healthcare services. We are working on a community-based health insurance scheme in Lalibela, providing free medical treatment for all family members using a single ID card.

For 2025, PBF has also planned to set up its own medical institution and will open a health center in Lalibela The construction has completed 99% and looking for fulfilling the medical equipments. It is expected to be vital in health care and addressing the health requirements of people living in this catchment area.

PBF has covered health insurance for total 699 households with 2,326 Family member beneficiaries in Lalibela town and Lasta district in 2024. Every commitment made over these successive years earns PBF recognition and a certificate this year from the Lasta Woreda health office for its contributions to community-based health insurance.
