PBF provides school construction and annual stationery support to the destitute children of Durame and the marginalized Fuga community
PBF has targeted destitute and marginalized communities in the past 10 years to provide them with access to education and annual health insurance. In the past two years, PBF has constructed a new classroom in Durame and Wondaregal elementary schools where the Fuga communitiesare lived. The new classrooms have provided a safe and conducive environment for learning.
A newly constructed school building in Doano, Durame, was completed a few weeks ago. September marks the beginning of the Ethiopian New Year and the schools functional start date.
These classrooms have also allowed for an increase in student enrollment and attendance.
In addition, the school has received new desks and blackboards, which are needed for the newly built class rooms. School staff members are excited for the upcoming academic year.
However, students still get hard when new academic years come to fulfill educational materials. As a result, PBF usually supports exercise books and pens for these students. In the past two years, we have extended our assistance to underserved Fuga communities beyond Durame in southern Ethiopia.
This school year, we have provided support for 150 Durame destitute children and 876 Fuga community school children.
The education offices of the Durame and Wondaregal districts have greatly appreciated the contributions from PBF.
Parents blessed PBF with great excitement.
